Studio Brief 01 - Fashion Editorials

As someone that is interested in both design culture and fashion I would like to be able to use my design skills within the fashion sector of the design industry but I have always been unsure of good fashion editorials to look as a lot of the main stream editorials are not up my street. While at the Leeds Print Festival Ali Hanson from It's Nice That spoke briefly about fashion editorials that we worked for before this current one, so I took the time to look them up and check out the more design conscious high end fashion editorials as I thought this would be a good first step in the right direction if I want to have a future in both industries.

Wonderland

Wonderland is an international, independently published magazine offering a unique perspective on the best new and established talent across all popular culture: fashion, film, music and art.

"We entertain, challenge and inform both men and women with editorial and fashion shot by the most in-demand photographers working today – we want to represent the positive and the playful elements of the fashion industry. We’re about inspiring, rather than dictating to our readers"

Rollercoaster

Rollercoaster prides itself on being the freshest fashion and lifestyle editoral, they have a very unique style and are showing how you can take popular culture and make it slightly more niche and this is what appeals to me as well as the high quality of photography and art direction. These are the sort of editorials that I want to be getting involved with as I feel that this is the direction that I want to go in as it will allow me to do the work I want to do and also visit the places I want to visit.
