Studio Brief 01 - PUMPED Art of Modern Beer Exhibition

Colours May Vary and Superfriendz have created a unique exhibition of the very best craft beer based design. From the bright, twisted paint designs of Toøl, to the arty multi author approach of Cloudwater, beer these days means more than a pint of luke warm bitter. Each can, bottle, or pump clip tells a story, and offers a unique insight into the labour of love that is modern brewing. The boozy exhibition brings together some of the finest artists and breweries around.

The exhibition is one of the best concepts that I have seen for an exhibition, it relates very well to a lot of designers. Many of us love to drink beer and what better way to celebrate both than have any exhibition about beer design. It was really interesting to see how well known designers like DR.ME have been able to branch out into this sort of design I guess this because the creative industry and craft beer are closely linked and it is accepted that this type of beer should have good design to compliment the beer. It was interesting to see the designs out of context as I would have never thought about having beer packaging as a poster or piece of art but now I really want some as they have such great concept and vibrance.
